Install Outlook Mobile on personal or work mobile device
Overview
This guide outlines the installation and usage of Outlook Mobile on a personal or work device. The official first-party Microsoft applications are the only permitted options for accessing City of Burleson content on a personal or work mobile device. Due to the nature of government accounts within Outlook Mobile, once completed you will no longer be able to use Outlook Mobile for any personal email accounts that you might have.
Procedure or Process:
- For personal mobile device: Download the correct Microsoft Outlook Mobile application based on your personal mobile device type.
- iOS - Microsoft Outlook on the App Store
- Android - Microsoft Outlook - Apps on Google Play
- For work mobile device: Your City of Burleson provided work mobile device will come with the correct Microsoft Outlook application pre-installed. If not, please contact the BTX-IT Service Desk.
- Find and open the Outlook Mobile application. (fig 1)
- Select Add Account. (fig 2)
- Input your City of Burleson email address and password. (fig 3)
- You will receive a Duo multi-factor authentication challenge as you are signing into a new device and application for the first time. Input your password. (fig 4)
- Open your Duo Mobile app and copy your Duo multi-factor passcode. Input it into the Outlook Mobile passcode prompt. (fig 5)
- After completing the Duo challenge your account will be added and accessible from the Outlook Mobile application. (fig 6)
